SEE THE FIRE.

Moissanite bends more light than a diamond does — that's the flash you actually notice across a room.

0.104
Moissanite's dispersion, vs. a diamond's 0.044 — roughly 2.5× the fire
9.25
Mohs hardness — second only to diamond

NOT A SUBSTITUTE.
A DIFFERENT STONE.

Moissanite isn't trying to pass as a diamond. It has no cleavage plane — no line along which it can split — and it holds its own character stone for stone.

Solid 925 sterling silver

Real silver all the way through — never brass, never gold-filled. Every piece is stamped 925 on the inside, struck into the metal, not printed on a card.

Real moissanite, plainly

Set with genuine moissanite — not cubic zirconia, not glass. Where a piece carries a rhodium or white-gold finish over the silver, the product page says so.

Silver tarnishes. We say so.

It's not damage — it's silver reacting with air, and it lifts off in about thirty seconds with a polishing cloth. Plating that "never tarnishes" isn't silver underneath.

QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING.

Moissanite throws more fire than a diamond does — roughly 2.5× the dispersion. Most people notice the flash before they think to ask what it is.

Moissanite rates 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond, and it has no cleavage plane — no line along which it can split under a knock.

Solid 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure, stamped into the metal on every piece. Where a finish is applied over the silver, the product page states it.

Chosen, not configured

Every ring arrives as one finished thought.

Most jewellers hand you a blank screen. Pick a setting. Now pick a stone. Now hope the two of them look like they were meant for each other.

That is the jeweller’s job, and we have already done it. Every Celino piece is designed, matched and finished before it ever reaches the site. You are not assembling a ring. You are choosing one.

For the Moments That Last

Let’s say the quiet part

What you are actually worried about

Nobody buying a ring lies awake worrying about carat weight. They lie awake worrying about these five things. So here they are, answered straight.

“What if she hates it?”

Then it comes back. One hundred days, no questions, no restocking fee, and we pay the shipping in both directions. You are not going to be stuck forever with a decision you made in a panic on a Tuesday night.

“What if the size is wrong?”

It probably will be. Almost nobody guesses right. We resize it free, for as long as you own it, not once as a favour. Ask us before you buy and we will post you a ring sizer so you can find out quietly.

“Will it still look like this in twenty years?”

Yes. Moissanite sits at 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond, and it has no cleavage plane, which is the flaw that lets a diamond chip if it is struck badly. It will not cloud. It will not go dull. It does not need re-cutting. The silver around it is solid sterling, not plated, so it will not wear through to something else underneath.

“How do I know what it’s worth?”

The price is on the page. There is nothing to haggle down, because there is no inflated number sitting there waiting to be discounted. Every stone is graded independently and arrives with its certificate, so you know exactly what you bought, and so does she.

“Doesn’t silver tarnish?”

Yes, and we would rather say so now than have you find out in March. It is not damage. It is silver reacting with air, and it lifts off in thirty seconds with the cloth we put in the box. Anyone selling you silver that never tarnishes is selling you plating over something cheaper, and when that plating wears through, what is underneath is not silver. Ours tarnishes because it is real.

“Will people know it isn’t a diamond?”

Yes. Because you are going to tell them, and you should. Moissanite is not a fake diamond. It is a different stone that beats a diamond at the thing rings are for. It throws more than twice the fire, it came out of a meteor crater, and it costs what it costs because it is honest, not because it is lesser. You are not getting away with something. You are choosing something, and that is a better story to tell across a dinner table than the one where you spent three months’ salary because an advertisement told you to.

Moissanite origin
Arizona, 1893

It fell out of the sky.

Henri Moissan was picking through the floor of a meteor crater in the Arizona desert when he found crystals that cut glass. He thought he had found diamonds. He had not. He had found something rarer, and for the next hundred years the only known source of it was a rock that fell from space.

We named nothing after ourselves. The stone was already named after him.

The Full Story
The Moissanite Guide

Brighter than a diamond.
And honest about it.

Moissanite bends light harder than a diamond does. Its refractive index is 2.65 against a diamond’s 2.42, and it splits light into colour at more than twice the rate. That rainbow flash across a room is not marketing. It is physics.

We will also tell you what it is not. A diamond is harder, at 10 on the Mohs scale against moissanite’s 9.25. What moissanite has instead is no cleavage plane, the flaw that lets a diamond split along a line if it is struck badly.
