Solid 925 sterling silver. Real silver all the way through, never brass and never gold-filled. Where a piece carries a rhodium or white gold finish over the silver, we say so on the page. Set with real moissanite, not cubic zirconia and not glass.
Carat options: 1.1 ct.
Moissanite has a dispersion of 0.104 against a diamond’s 0.044, which means it throws roughly two and a half times the fire: the rainbow flash you actually notice across a room. It sits at 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond, and unlike a diamond it has no cleavage plane, so there is no line along which it can split.
Look for the stamp. Every piece is struck with 925 on the inside, the international mark for sterling silver: 92.5 percent pure. It is punched into the metal, not printed on a card, and any jeweller can read it in seconds.
Silver tarnishes, and we would rather say so now. It is not damage. It is silver reacting with air, and it lifts off in thirty seconds with a polishing cloth. Anyone selling you silver that never tarnishes is selling you plating over something cheaper, and when that plating wears through, what is underneath is not silver.
